About this site

Independent, unofficial, and built for one question: what will my pension actually be?

8thpaycommissionpensioncalculator.com helps central government pensioners and serving employees estimate how their pension could change under the 8th Central Pay Commission, and tracks the news around it so you don't have to.

What this site does

What this site is

  • An independent, privately run calculator and news resource
  • A tool for planning purposes, built around published pay-commission precedent
  • Updated as genuinely new information becomes available

What this site is not

  • Not a Government of India website, and not affiliated with the 8th Central Pay Commission or any pension-disbursing authority
  • Not a source of confirmed figures — the Commission's report has not been submitted and the fitment factor is unannounced
  • Not a substitute for your PPO, pension order, or guidance from your bank or pension-disbursing office

How we keep the estimates honest

Nobody outside the Commission knows the eventual fitment factor, so instead of showing one confident number, the calculator shows a spread of six scenarios. Implementation is realistically expected around 2027, and we say so rather than implying otherwise.

The news timeline is updated as things are officially confirmed or credibly reported, not on rumour, and where a claim is uncertain we say that too.

Where the site touches on procedure — which form to use, who to approach — the guidance is deliberately general (for example, "check with your branch" or "confirm with your disbursing authority"), because pension procedure varies by department and disbursing authority, and we'd rather send you to the right official source than guess on your behalf.
